She obtained her graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Lewis and Clark College, a COAMFTE-accredited Marriage & Family Therapy program, which was located in Portland, Oregon. Here she was able to focus and learn about how social justice issues and cultural identities influence our families and communities. Prior to graduate school, Megan studied Community, Family, and Addiction Studies at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. Here she was able to learn about family theory and substance abuse patterns and treatment for individuals.

Megan's experience includes working as a clinical therapist for individuals, couples and families at Catholic Community Services, with students at Roosevelt High school, and with youth at a Juvenile Detention Center in Texas. She obtained her level II certificate for EMDR Therapy which allows her to process trauma memories with clients in order to lower distress and manage a healthy life. Megan now volunteers with Camp Erin as a clinical counselor through the Moyer Foundation, which is an annual camp for children and youth who are grieving a loved one. Growing up Megan moved all over the world. She lived in in Nigeria, England and Scotland and enjoys connecting and working with all backgrounds, beliefs, identities, and cultures. She enjoys using artistic and creative expression in her therapy and leads the art therapy group weekly at SeaMar.

She primarily practices cognitive-behavioral therapy, family systems and solution focused therapy, as well as art therapy and play therapy, and with clients, families, and groups.

In Megan's leisure time she enjoys traveling, exploring new areas of town, and being outside with friends.
