Sea Mar Latino Senior Information and Assistance Program Description:
This program offers free services to people 55 years of age and over residing in King County.
Services Offered in the Information and Assistance Program:
- Referrals to services and organizations in the community
- Translations/Interpretation
- Assistance to learn to ride public transportation
- Assistance to apply for Medicaid, Medicare, food stamps, etc.
- Advocacy to access a variety of services, including medical and social services to remain healthy and self sufficient.
Sea Mar Latino Senior Nutrition Program Description:
This program has activities at different King County Senior Centers/Community Centers in the following cities: Kirkland, Shoreline, Des Moines, Bellevue, SeaTac, Federal Way and South Park. The staff members are bilingual (English/Spanish) and multicultural, and will assist you to coordinate transportation to the activities.
Services Offered in the Nutrition Program:
- Socialization activities
- The opportunity to meet friends from different countries.
- Participate in dance, musical, exercise and other activities, and have lots of fun
- Play bingo/lotería
- Take English classes
- Enjoy nutritious and delicious meals
- Participate in workshops
Hours of Operation:
- Office: Monday through Friday: 8am to 5pm.
