Kittanya Azrael, MS, LMHCA, is a Mental Health Therapist at Sea Mar’s Tumwater Behavioral Health Clinic. She earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental
Health Counseling from Walden University, after completing her internship at Pathways Mental Health Services in Olympia, WA. Before joining Sea Mar in
September 2025, Kittanya brought her passion for community care to a wide range of settings, including mental health start-ups, group practices, peer
counseling programs, government agencies, nonprofits, homeless services, harm reduction projects, and teaching/training roles.
While in school, she served on the Board of Directors for the Emma Goldman Youth Homeless Outreach Project, worked as Program Manager at Franz Anderson
Tiny Home Village and Peer Olympia, and provided Opioid Overdose Response and Prevention trainings throughout the region.
Kittanya’s therapeutic approach is rooted in the belief that clients are the experts in their own lives. She walks alongside them with compassion and curiosity,
integrating modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive
Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy. She is especially passionate about trauma and grief work, and supporting individuals with mood disorders and
anxiety.
Outside of work, Kittanya can often be found spending time with her horse, sheep, dogs, and cat; in the mosh pit at a metal show; or traveling with her
partner in search of the best tacos.
