
Alex Springer, MSW, LICSWA is one of the qualified mental health therapists who joined Sea Mar Bellevue Child & Family in March 2019; Alex had previously worked as an Integrated Mental Health Specialist at Seattle Medical Clinic, and has returned to work with adolescents.
Before joining Sea Mar, Alex completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Cornell University with a concentration in cultural and language studies. She then earned a Masters in Social Welfare degree from the University of California, Berkeley, graduating with recognition and a focus in immigration and refugee mental health.
Alex believes in advocating for human rights. She volunteers her time working abroad including in Oaxaca, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Berlin, Germany. She has provided mental healthcare to both children and adults from diverse backgrounds and believes in promoting mental health regardless of ability to pay for services.
Alex spends her leisure time outdoors, hiking, rock climbing, skiing, and camping. She loves to salsa dance, travel, go out to eat, and hang out with her dog.
