Ana Gauen-Fidler began practicing as a Mental Health Therapist at Sea Mar in January of 2022.  Prior to her time at Sea Mar,  Ana completed her undergraduate degree from The Evergreen State College and continued onto graduate school at New York University, earning a Masters in Social Work. Upon obtaining her license, Ana went on to work as a Psychiatric Social Worker for NYC Health + Hospitals.

Ana believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship and genuinely values the importance of building rapport with clients.  Ana believes in the inherent resilience of the human spirit and embraces a strengths-based approach when working with individuals who have experienced trauma, loss as well as other challenges and stressors.

Ana is from the San Francisco Bay Area, and, having spent nearly a decade in NYC, is now happily settled back on the West Coast. She enjoys spending time with her family, exploring and getting to know Tacoma and traveling.
