Chanraksmey Hok - Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Education: Doctorate in Nursing Practice
Institution: Seattle University
Area of Specialty: Psychiatric Mental Health
Languages: English, Cambodian and Khmer

Chanraksmey Hok completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice, focusing on Psychiatric Mental Health, from Seattle University in June 2023. She accumulated many years of experience working as a psychiatric and geriatric nurse at local hospitals. Before starting the nurse practitioner program, she earned a Master of Social Work from the University of Washington and served as a clinical social worker in a community behavioral health center for many years.

Chanraksmey entered the mental health field to help reduce stigma and empower individuals to overcome mental health issues. She utilizes various treatments to promote recovery from a broad spectrum of symptoms, including medications, natural remedies, and lifestyle changes. Chanraksmey believes in collaborating with clients rather than pressuring them to take medication. She acknowledges that no medication is perfect and without side effects. She wants clients to understand that while medications can aid in their wellness journey, recovery involves much more.

In her free time, Chanraksmey enjoys engaging in outdoor activities, attending silent meditation retreats, and volunteering at a meditation center.
