Leah earned their Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling in 2014, completed their practicum at a college counseling center, and has been working at Sea Mar Behavioral Health since June 2022. Leah works in a number of therapeutic modalities including person and strength-centered, cognitive behavioral therapies, and narrative therapy.
Leah is especially passionate about working with children and adolescents, pregnant and postpartum clients, and queer-identifying youth. Leah uses a trauma-informed lens along with a strong sense of humor that makes room for connection with a diversity of clients. While honoring and centering individual experiences, Leah seeks to always work from a place of cultural responsiveness.
Originally from the Deep South, Leah is now Tacoman through and through. They enjoy baking with their kids, reading and writing, and traveling, and are on a constant search for the tastiest banh mi.
