Lynn Thayrich has been in the mental health field since 2011 as a student therapist when she graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2013 and continued to work for a rural Oklahoma school district as a member of a federal grant. Lynn developed CBT based curriculum for students education classes, taught suicide and bullying prevention to district staff and students. At that time she provided therapeutic services for families and students. Her team developed a resource guide to help staff aid students with mental health symptoms through classroom and individual strategies.
Lynn returned to Washington State in 2014 to continue to build her therapeutic experiences working in the small rural community near the Washington coast. At this time she continued to practice the skillful application of therapeutic strategy in a community mental health setting where she worked as a part of a therapeutic treatment team and participated in DMHP crisis work.
Lynn prides herself on her ability to work collaboratively and independently to balance a caseload, agency goals and also continue to help clients strengthen their own abilities, strategies and resources with therapeutic ones to participate fully and engage in life. She believes that therapy begins with an assessment to discover the needs of each individual. These needs and goals are what Lynn will work with her clients to attain using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT/Mindfulness strategies to gain Quality of Life and addressing aspects in a client's life, history and in interpretation of their environment and thoughts. She now works as a Clinical Supervisor.
