Nathaniel began practicing mental health therapy with a focus on addiction treatment in 2014. He now aligns his practice with the majority of life challenges or mental illnesses that can be effectively treated in a therapeutic setting. Nathaniel hopes to meet these challenges by implementing both individual and group counseling per the needs of any individual seeking treatment. Prior to starting his practice, Nathaniel had completed a B.A in Psychology at Lee University; Cleveland, Tennessee, and a M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Clemson University; Clemson, South Carolina. He joined Sea Mar Behavioral Health Services in April 2019.

Nathaniel believes that the entire person should be served in the context of therapy, and that therapy should not be limited to only managing the symptoms of a specific mental illness. He practices therapy from a person-centered, strengths-based perspective and believes that every individual has a unique capacity to grow in an ideal therapeutic environment. A multitude of clinical evidence supports this belief and Nathaniel strives to update his practice with the most effective treatment modalities

Nathaniel enjoys the exciting culture and environment that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. His hobbies include spending time hiking, exercising, experiencing nature, exploring local venues, and spending quality time with his partner, friends, and family. But most importantly, he enjoys embarking on a therapeutic journey with any and all persons that may be seeking an improvement in their quality of life.
