Nishita began working at SeaMar's Monroe BH clinic in May 2022.
Nishita earned her B.A (Honors) degree in Psychology from India and her M.A in Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree from West Virginia University.
She has experience working with children, adolescents (specifically at-risk youth), and adults struggling with various mental health concerns in outpatient settings.
She utilizes a trauma-informed, strengths-based, humanistic approach to therapy while incorporating evidence-based techniques.
She firmly believes that mental health doesn't exist in isolation and hence takes a holistic approach coupled with multicultural lens to therapy & mental-health wellbeing.
She believes that everyone deserves a safe and a warm place to grow and heal and strives to create the same for her clients through therapy.
Nishita enjoys listening to music and going on long walks, hiking, cooking, reading, watching thriller shows, and spending time with family & friends.
