Susan began practicing behavioral health counseling at Sea Mar SUD Clinic in June, 2017. Before practicing at Sea Mar, Susan completed her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2003, her Geriatric Specialist Training in 2005, and her Chemical Dependency Professional Certification in 2012.
She has worked with a diverse population over the past 15 years, including homeless and incarcerated individuals, people court ordered for domestic violence and anger management programs, individuals struggling with substance use and dependence, the geriatric population, and people struggling with mental and behavioral health challenges.
She received the Mayoral Award in 2008 for her volunteer work in assisting individuals struggling with mental health problems and homelessness. She was nominated for the ‘Be the Change’ Award through Washington State that same year. She has been a volunteer member of multiple civic and community programs, starting as a teenager.
Susan enjoys time with her family, visiting different parts of the country, hiking, gardening, swimming, and reading.
