In July 2015, Dr. Bekir Suveyd graduated from medical school at Alfaisal University with first class honor. In June 2019, he completed internal medicine residency at Hurley Medical Center in Flint Michigan where he served as a chief medical resident and was awarded distinguished resident award. He moved to the West Coast and joined UCLA-Harbor Medical Center and City of Hope to do clinical fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism. Throughout his post-graduate training at safety net hospitals, Dr. Suveyd has great experience with tailoring medical management to the underserved and medically disadvantaged populations. He started an endocrine practice at Sea Mar in August 2021. Dr. Suveyd has a particular interest in treating obesity and he is board certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine.
While not at work, Dr. Suveyd enjoys spending time with his wife, video calling family abroad, reading, hiking, trying different cuisines, and star gazing.
