Dr. Jacobson is a proud dual American-Swedish citizen fluent in Swedish, English and Spanish. A proud alumnus of Boston University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology he also was a valued member of the Division 1 NCAA soccer team. These experiences laid the foundation for a career dedicated to understanding the intricate workings of the human body. He then ventured to the Caribbean to attend Windsor University School of Medicine in Saint Kitts and Nevis, ultimately completely his clinical rotations in Chicago, Illinois, a vast majority of the time working with underserved populations. Following medical school he undertook a transformative 3 year family medicine residency in the vibrant border community of Yuma, Arizona gaining a unique perspective on primary care. Eager to specialize further, Dr. Jacobson completed a rigorous one-year sports medicine fellowship at Tri Health in Cincinnati, Ohio acquiring a critical foundation in general sports medicine. One notable focus was on musculoskeletal sonography, an advanced diagnostic and procedural modality that allows for precise imaging of soft tissues, muscles and joints. As a fellowship trained sports medicine physician, he is uniquely equipped to provide thorough assessments and targeted interventions for individuals seeking specialized care for musculoskeletal concerns.
Today, Dr. Jacobson proudly serves the Clark County community at the Sea Mar East Vancouver location. Highly engaged in teaching, he often will be accompanied by various medical learners at different stages of their training in his clinic. A dedicated sports medicine physician, Dr. Jacobson is especially passionate about the therapeutic and preventative benefits of exercise and physical activity. He is committed to providing individualized and compassionate care to all patients.
Beyond the realm of sports medicine, Dr. Jacobson is a devoted husband to Ashley, a registered nurse, and a loving father to their 4 year old daughter Karolina. The family is eagerly anticipating the arrival of a baby boy later this year, adding another layer of joy and excitement to their lives. Like so many in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, Dr. Jacobson enjoys skiing, boating, fishing and exploring nature with his two dogs, Link and Luke.
