Dr. Cory Smit started working at Seamar Community Health Center in Bellingham, WA in August 2022. She completed osteopathic medical school at Western University of Health Sciences COMP-NW in Lebanon, OR, graduating with honors in 2019. Afterwards she completed her three year post-graduate training in Mount Vernon, WA at Skagit Regional Health Family Medicine Residency. Prior to medical school she attended Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA where she studied biology, anthropology, and chemistry.
She has a passion for improving healthcare access and equity and focuses on serving underserved, low-income communities. She hopes to build long-term patient-physician relationships with emphasis on preventative care. Her practice includes prenatal care and obstetrics.
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, she is excited to practice locally and support the community. She enjoys being outdoors with her dog, baking, painting, and spending quality time with her family.
