Elisa was born and raised in San Jose, Costa Rica, and is fluent in both English and Spanish. She received her Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Santa Paula in Costa Rica in 2007 and her Bachelor’s degree in nursing in Costa Rica in 2014. Elisa worked for around 10 years as a physical therapist and nurse in acute care, outpatient clinics, and home health in Costa Rica. She got her physical therapy license in Washington State in 2020 and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). She completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Arcadia University in Philadelphia, PA in 2023.

Elisa believes in empowering people through movement. Her love for movement started with ballet dancing, which she practiced in Costa Rica for more than ten years and led to her teaching ballet and Pilates classes. She has experience working with people of all ages and backgrounds, having practiced physical therapy in various settings in Costa Rica and the United States. Elisa enjoys getting to know her patients so that she can create an individualized program to set them up for success.

In her free time, Elisa enjoys practicing ballet and Pilates and exploring the Pacific Northwest with her husband and son.
