Dr. Mallek is a Board-Certified OB/GYN with a focus on minimally-invasive surgery and vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC). Dr. Mallek grew up in an international community in Brazil, and this experience opened him up to the value of diversity and equality.
After spending eight years in the US Marines, Dr. Mallek attended medical school at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. His residency was at Magee-Women's Hospital of the University of Pittsburgh. He has received additional training in daVinci robotic surgery and is proud to offer minimally-invasive options for complex surgical issues including endometriosis, large fibroids, and pelvic organ prolapse.
Dr. Mallek has been with Sea Mar since January, 2020. He is dedicated to our principles of care for all regardless of status. In his free time Dr. Mallek tries to stay in shape, and he enjoys cooking, woodworking, and Crossfit. He lives in Portland with his lovely wife, three boys, and two dogs.
