Dr. Huong Lakin began practicing medicine part-time at Sea Mar's Lacey Medical Clinic in October 2011. She graduated from Des Moines University and completed family practice residency at Carson City Hospital, Michigan State University.
Dr. Lakin has been practicing medicine in Olympia since moving to this area in 2002. As an osteopathic physician, she believes in a "whole person" approach to patient care with an emphasis in preventive health care and patient education. She finds it both challenging and rewarding to serve the underinsured and underserved populations.
Dr. Lakin grew up in Des Moines, Washington. She doesn't mind the rain in exchange for the many amenities that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her three children, travel, camping, hiking, tennis, gardening and meditation
