Dr Okrent graduated from University at Buffalo School of Medicine in 2012 before completing his residency in Family and Social Medicine at Montefiore in the Bronx, NY.

He worked in mobile outreach clinics and in the homeless shelter system in New York City before moving to Tacoma in 2017 and beginning his work at Sea Mar.
