Dr. Jonathan Armstrong graduated from University of Virginia in 2012 with a BSc in Biochemistry.
He graduated from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School with his MD in 2016. He completed a 4 year family medicine program at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, TX in 2020.
During the last two years of his residency, he completed a Maternal Child Health fellowship, gaining advanced training in obstetrics and obstetric ultrasound. He served as Chief Resident of the MCH program during his fourth year of training. He also spent a portion of his clinical training at the Healing Wings Clinic, which is an HIV clinic in Fort Worth. He completed the AAHIVM HIV Specialist Certification during his fourth year of training.
He has a strong interest in working with underserved communities, which led to him to work at Sea Mar Salmon Creek Clinic in 2020. He practices as an HIV provider, a Family Medicine Provider, and performs obstetric call and deliveries at Legacy Salmon Hospital.
He speaks Spanish and English. He studied Spanish in high school and college, and has spent significant time in Peru, Bolivia, and Mexico.
