Rachel began her career with Sea Mar in August 2018. She also worked in a primary care clinic in Baltimore, Maryland after graduating with an MSN and MPH from Johns Hopkins University in 2017. She firmly believes that health care is a human right and is committed to working in community health. During her training she worked as a nurse at a student-run community nursing center and volunteered at a free clinic for uninsured patients. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she studied health care disparities in Santiago, Chile under a Fulbright grant. She also worked in patient services at the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation in Chicago, where she provided education to families and became passionate about the importance of engaging patients in their own care through education.
Rachel grew up in California and now lives in Kent with her partner and children. In her free time, you might find her doing yoga or herding her cat around the house.
