Samantha MacDonald, DPT completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Washington in 2016. She has been a physical therapist at Sea Mar Community Health Center since 2018 and is the current Clinical Director for the Physical Therapy Department. She has clinical experience in many settings including outpatient orthopedics, inpatient neuro and vestibular rehabilitation, collegiate athletics, hospital care, home health therapy, and geriatric care. She is in the online Advanced Vestibular Physical Therapy (AVPT) certificate program at University of Pittsburg and has extensive training in sports performance and rehabilitation.
Samantha values the individual and how they function in their community, providing personalized treatment to obtain meaningful goals. She will work alongside of the individual each visit and provides treatment that is agreed upon, values their dignity, and optimizes their independence.
She has thoroughly enjoyed her time working at Sea Mar Community Health Center because her patients and colleagues provide daily examples of neighborly love and true community. Outside of work, Samantha values home economics and strives to participate in her local community and economy in a neighborly way. She cherishes her time with family and friends outside working in gardens, building things with her hands, playing soccer, and enjoying the natural gifts of the Pacific Northwest.
