Tara Fitzgerald, PA-C joined Sea Mar Community Health Center’s Lakewood clinic in January 2025. She completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, Utah, following a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Sociology from Western Washington University.
Prior to her training as a physician assistant, Tara gained experience in emergency medicine as an ER Technician, as well as volunteer Firefighter/EMT. Her time spent working in emergency medicine fueled her passion for working with underserved populations and underscored the importance of patient education and preventive care. Tara is also a proud recipient of the National Health Service Corps Scholarship, reflecting her strong commitment to serving the community and advocating for equitable healthcare access.
Tara is dedicated to improving public health through a focus on health education and preventive care, empowering patients to take an active role in their health and well-being. She strives to make a meaningful impact by promoting healthier lifestyles and supporting underserved communities.
Outside of her professional life, Tara enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs. Tara’s hobbies include skiing, riding horses, hiking, reading, and paddle boarding in the Puget Sound.
